Malt Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tbsp MALTEXO ORIGINAL
  • 30g melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 level tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups bran

Method

Mix all dry ingredients. Dissolve MALTEXO ORIGINAL in milk. Melt butter and cool. Beat egg slightly, then mix everything together well. Bake in well buttered muffin tins for 20 minutes at 200° C. Turn out of tins. When cold split and butter.

½ cup sultanas may be added to mixture if desired.
